Pro mixed martial artist and entrepreneur Steve Orosco will combine mixed martial arts, business networking and extravagance on Saturday, August 1, when The Main Event takes over Hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego. Presented by Smash Global, this inaugural black-tie gala will bring together some of the top business professionals in America's Finest City for an evening of professional mixed martial arts fights, craft cocktails, tray-passed hors d’oeuvres, art installations by Marc Sandoval of Molotov Gallery and a silent auction. Using California State Athletic Commission-sanctioned MMA as its backdrop, The Main Event convenes society’s elite with business leaders from the greater San Diego region and abroad - setting the scene for an evening of networking, entertainment and grandeur at the beautiful Hard Rock Hotel.

After years in the cage, Orosco identified an opportunity to raise the level of business in the sport by creating entertainment events for premium brands.
Along with the five-fight card featuring former Ultimate Fighting Championship Fighter Jesse "JT Money" Taylor and the undefeated Nick Barnes, The Main Event boasts an art exhibition from Molotov Gallery's Marc Sandoval and a silent auction, which will benefit Urban Angels, a nonprofit organization formed to nourish and provide food for the homeless of San Diego.

Tickets to the event are $350 per person for seating at a table, are limited to only 360 patrons and includes a fine art exhibition, tray-passed hors d’oeuvres, a hosted cocktail hour, access to the live MMA fights and the opportunity to network with an exclusive crowd of elite business professionals in a VIP setting.
