Experience some of the best of Baja cuisine prepared by the top Baja and San Diego chefs and served with the exciting Valle de Guadalupe wines at Baja Chefs on the Point, taking place at Stone World Bistro & Gardens Liberty Station on Sunday, October 18, from 2-6pm. Benefitting the Dewey Elementary School, this event will feature tasting stations by 6 area chefs paired with Mexico's finest wines.

At Baja Chefs on the Point, guests will be welcomed with an iced oyster bar, sponsored by Santa Monica Seafood, and white wines. Individual chef stations will be spaced throughout the beautiful Stone World Bistro & Garden at Point Loma's Liberty Station. Chefs will prepare a Baja inspired plate and will be paired with a Baja/Valle Guadalupe wine.

Chefs offering tastings at the event include Andrew Spurgin of Bespoke Event Styling & Menu Design, Flor Franco of Indulge Catering and Finca La Carrodilla, Erick Alcazar of Costa Oeste and Valle de Guadalupe Red Room, Priscilla Curiel of Talavera Azul, Martin San Roman of La Terrasse San Roman and Rotisserie San Roman and Bianca Castro of Cerio Pastry Chef. Fernando Gaxiola of Baja Food + Wine has curated some the best wines from Valle Guadalupe to pair with each chef’s cuisine

Tickets to Baja Chefs on the Point are $150 per person and can be secured by registering online. Funds raised for this event will be used to equip a new math and science lab at Point Loma's Dewey Elementary School.

Located in Point Loma Dewey is comprised of mainly military dependent students. Dewey has a free and reduced lunch rate of 73% and is a title 1 school. The military families that attend Dewey are ranked E6 and below which result in very young families that do not have significant incomes. The military sends the more severe special needs military dependents in concentration to San Diego because of its close proximity to Balboa Navy Hospital.

“Thrilled to be able to help the children of our men and women in uniform, it’s an honor to do for those who have given so much and sacrificed SO much more.” commented event organizer Andrew Spurgin of Bespoke Event Styling & Menu Design.
