Happy Hour Bee Spotlights Catania Coastal Italian In La Jolla

November 9, 2015

On a recent incarnation of Happy Hour Bee, Bianca Jaime visits Catania Coastal Italian in La Jolla where she enjoys modern and traditional Italian dishes with locally sourced ingredients, like the grigliata mista (mixed grilled seasonal veggies) and Margharita pizza, as well as an array of Italian craft beer and inspired cocktails.

Catania is a second story eatery owned and operated by the Whisknladle Hospitality Group (Whisknladle, PrepKitchen). The restaurant is perched atop La Plaza La Jolla and offers fantastic views of the coastline and nearby village. Catania's happy hour is every Sunday through Thursday, from 3-7pm, and Friday and Saturday from 3-6pm. Inspired by the Italian tradition of aperitivo, guests are invited to enjoy select wood fired pizzas, small plates and drink specials priced from $5-$9. In addition to a vast selection of handcrafted cocktails, Catania boasts an all-Italian selection of drafts, as well small and large bottle beers, with the exception of Birra Catania, a Belgian/Italian herbed ale brewed exclusively for the restaurant in collaboration with San Diego-based New English Brewing Company.

Don't miss Bianca's experience at Catania and plan a visit for yourself. Catania is located at 7863 Girard Avenue in Little Italy. For more information, visit cataniasd.com.
