Cheeses Of Europe To Bring Pop-Up Educational Cheese Tasting To San Diego | February 19-20

February 8, 2016

Cheeses of Europe, a European Union-financed cheese board devoted to promoting everything French cheese in the U.S., are on their Cheeses of Europe Tour, and they are bringing their pop-up, educational cheese tastings - which have been a major hit in cities like New York, San Francisco and Miami - to San Diego on Friday, February 19 & Saturday, February 20, from 11am. to 6pm both days.

All fromage enthusiasts are invited to indulge in a full sensory European experience by inhaling the aromas, feeling the textures, and sampling over 30 types of French cheeses alfresco in front of Macy's at Fashion Valley Mall. The event is free for the public to attend.

Samples will include everything from soft, buttery Brie, Camembert de Normandie and Fromager d'Affinois to aged nutty cheeses like Mimolette, all available for purchase at exclusive discounted pricing. Also, with San diego being the capital of craft beer, it only makes sense that they will be featuring local brews to enhance the cheese tasting experience. The 2-day event will be featuring brews from Green Flash Brewing Co’s barrel-aged collection Cellar 3, which will be paired with a variety of different French cheeses.

Charles Duque, the director of the French Cheese Board will be heading to San Diego for an exclusive appearance, adding an educational element to the pop-up event. This is The Cheeses of Europes' first time in San Diego.
