Following last month’s announcement of an upcoming brick and mortar location, San Diego Poke Co., the popular poke vendor at the Hillcrest and Scripps Ranch Farmers Markets, has confirmed it will open on Sunday, May 1 in a 900-square-foot space on Friars Road between Mission Valley and Grantville. To celebrate the occasion, the first 100 guests will receive one free build-your-own poke bowl, the restaurant’s beloved staple dish.
The casual eatery has also revealed its full menu, highlighted by eight signature specialty bowls, from favorites like “The OG SD” tuna bowl to the salmon-based “Reel Bliss” with pineapple and serrano peppers and the vegetarian “Feel Soy Good” tofu bowl served on a bed of mixed greens. Other specialty items include salmon wonton tacos, the favorite of Chef Meljohn Sebastian, and poke served on nacho style chips.
