The popular local craft coffee roaster, who will celebrate its 10 year anniversary this year, opened its first location at 1909 Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach in 2007. Better Buzz Coffee Roasters’ 8,000 square-foot, two-story Hillcrest location houses a vintage Probat coffee roaster from Germany for onsite roasting, which will be surrounded by a coffee bar so that patrons can witness the process unfold. There is also be a cold brew lab and event space, and in addition to a menu of coffee and espresso drinks, including drip coffee and cold brews, the new Better Buzz will offer a lineup of organic smoothies and a breakfast and lunch food menu with avocado toast, grilled sandwiches, paninis, muffins, cookies, bagels and a variety of acai bowls. There is also an outdoor patio and retail component. The second floor will serve as Better Buzz’s new headquarters.
