Buffalo Wild Wings has launched a scaled-down to-go format and will open several locations of the fast-casual eatery around San Diego, including in Pacific Beach and Clairemont.
Founded in Columbia, OH, in 1982, Buffalo Wild Wings is an American casual dining & sports bar chain with more than 1,200 locations dotted around the globe. Buffalo Wild Wings is now owned by Inspire Brands, which also operates Arby's, Sonic Drive-In, Jimmy John's, Mister Donut, Dunkin' Donuts, and Baskin-Robbins.
In May 2020, the Inspire Brands introduced a smaller format eatery dubbed Buffalo Wild Wings GO. The concept serves a menu of wings, tenders, fries, tater tots, fried pickles, onion rings, cheese curds, and soft drinks, mostly for delivery and takeout.
Buffalo Wild Wings previously operated a similar small format concept called B-Dubs Express before the chain was acquired for $2.9 billion in February 2018 by Arby’s. The two restaurant chains were then merged into a new company called Inspire Brands, which subsequently acquired Sonic Drive-In and Jimmy John’s.
