A Shuckin’ Good Time | 2nd Annual San Diego OysterFest

The 2nd annual San Diego OysterFest returns to the Marina Embarcadero this Saturday, June 18th.  This year, the event features a new local focus with live bands and beer from area microbreweries, as well as plenty of fresh West Coast oysters and restaurant offerings from a variety of San Diego restaurants. Along with oyster shucking contests and cooking demos, this 21-and-over event spotlights some of San Diego's favorite bands, including headliners Pepper, plus The Nervous Wreckords, Vokab Kompany, Paulo Da Rosa, Sic Waiting and several DJs.
Presented by SDO Productions, Pacific Beach Shore Club, PB Fish Shop and 91X radio, this year’s Oysterfest celebrates the unique combination of Guinness Stout and fresh oysters. Over 16 beers will be on offer, including local favorites from Coronado Brewing Company. Green Flash and Ballast Point, but if you prefer a cocktail or a wine with your oyster they will also be served at the event.  In between musical acts visit cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef's, cheer on the teams in the shuck and suck competition, find out who San Diego's fastest oyster shucker is and learn all about oyster farming in California at they Oyster Expo.  This event benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.

General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased online, so get ‘em while they last.
