Grub Sprawl Makes its Way to Old Town | TONIGHT - Monday, July 9th

July 9, 2012

Tonight, Monday, July 9, 2012, from 6 to 10 p.m., San Diego’s foodies will come together to participate in a savory stroll through the historic neighborhood of Old Town. The Old Town Grub Sprawl welcomes participating restaurants such as Harney Sushi, El Agave, Miguel’s Cocina, The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant, El Fandango and more.

To date, thousands of San Diegans and tourists have participated in Grub Sprawls—dining out events best described as “Taste Of” meets better affordability (because you can stop scarfing without feeling jipped). This next installment hopes to draw attention to some unseen gems of this community, as well as bringing people back into the already popular establishments they know and love.

Participation is fun and easy, attendees first visit one of two starting locations—Miguel’s Cocina and/or El Agave—to pick up complimentary wristbands (distribution begins at 5:45 p.m.). Donning these bright bracelets enables participants to enter any of the participating restaurants and order the evening’s special dish at only $5. Offering a wide array of delicious dishes, this edible excursion delivers a tempting trip around the gourmand’s globe. “Something For Everyone” is the mantra of the evening…encouraging friends to converse, laugh and enjoy while sharing dishes with each other and fellow Grub Sprawlers (always a lively bunch).

Interested parties may acquire free wristbands beginning at 5:45 p.m. in front of Miguel’s Cocina at 2444 San Diego Ave, or at El Agave at 2304 San Diego Ave.
