Happening Tonight, Friday, June 22nd at Liberty Station in Point Loma, A Taste of Summer is bringing together 10 of San Diego’s best chefs from Alchemy, Urban Solace, Casa de Luz, Gabardine, JSix, Carnitas, Café Chloe, Cups, Kitchen 4140, and Sea Rocket Bistro to create a variety of unique small plates and passed hors d’oeuvres made from sustainable, local, organic ingredients.

With sustainability as the evening’s theme, all dishes at A Taste of Summer will be made using local, organic, and seasonal ingredients, while highlighting the creativity of each participating restaurant. Indulge in delicious desserts and a hosted bar, while listening to live music, bidding on the silent auction, and mingling with San Diego locals.  A Taste of Summer is celebrating the launch of the San Diego chapter of The Positive Plate. On Friday, June 22nd from 7-11pm, hundreds of locals will enjoy unique small plates created by the county’s top chefs.  The event takes place at NTC Promenade at Liberty Station.

Pissalidiere: A classic French pizza with caramelized onion and anchovy
Lamb shank with summer squash and tomato compote

Tickets are only $60 and include:

Parking is free and proceeds from the event benefit Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center, San Diego Hunger Coalition, and Ecofficiency.Org – three local non-profits dedicated to health, nutrition, and sustainability.
