UK artists, Morning Parade, are proud to announce live dates as special guests of Smashing Pumpkins and The Wombats this October/November. This news comes hot on the heels of their network television debut on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno which kicked off of an extensive tour with The Wombats. 91x presents Morning Parade and the Wombats will visit House of Blues in Downtown San Diego on Monday, October 1st.
Having just played to 60,000 people in London's Hyde Park for the Coca Cola Olympic Torch Relay, Morning Parade's SE1 Live Session is now available exclusively at the iTunes store. Recorded last year in South East London, the E.P. features live versions of 5 tracks taken from their debut self-titled release out now on Astralwerks. Check out this live video from the sessions for the song “Us & Ourselves.”
Earlier this year, the band released their self-titled debut album and “Headlights,” the first single, is now in the top 20 at Alternative Radio.
Morning Parade has been consistently blowing away audiences this year with their spectacular live shows including dates as special guests of The Kooks in March, a six performance run at SXSW, and a tour with Walk the Moon this past June. The band also recently premiered their video on RollingStone.com. 2011 saw the band selling out UK and European headline tours, playing to packed out tents at V Festival, touring with the likes of 30 Seconds to Mars, The Wombats and The Kooks, supporting Biffy Clyro at Ibiza Rocks and sharing a stage with Coldplay at Rock am Ring.
Asked about the band's favorite spots in San Diego, frontman Steve Sparrow explained: "We’ve never actually been to San Diego, but I know your Mexican food’s famous out there. There will definitely be a number of burritos eaten during our visit! And as far as drinking goes, anywhere with a view of the ocean is perfect for us."
Well Steve, check out SanDiegoVille for where to go for food and drink in America's Finest City! Don't miss Morning Parade and the Wombats at San Diego's House of Blues on Monday, October 1st. House of Blues is located at 1055 5th Avenue in downtown SD.
