October 26, 2012

Remember 'back in the day' when Sunday dinners used to mean something?  It would be a special, worry-free time to spend with family over the comforts of a delicious meal?  At Herringbone in La Jolla, they want to make sure that tradition never dies!  Every Sunday starting on November 4th, Executive Chef Amanda Baumgarten will offer a choice of two appetizers, a choice of two entrees, and one dessert for $35.  Don't miss Sunday supper done right at the beautiful Herringbone!

At Herringbone's Sunday Supper, the menu will be crafted differently each week with a lot of thought put into each dish. The items will be seasonal, accessible, and since Chef Brian Malarkey will be chiming it from time to time, VERY playful!

"It’ll be a playfully accessible menu focusing on seasonal, comforting dishes," explained Chef Amanda, "I’m really looking forward this, and I hope I can get the rest of San Diego to be as psyched as I am.  I’ll have the menu for each week posted on Tuesday on our Facebook page."

The first menu has already been posted and consists of the following:

Choice of first:
Arugula with persimmon, and pistachio salad
OR
Smoked Tomato Minestrone Soup

Choice of second:
Lamb Shank with spaghetti squash, mustard greens, pomegranate and green olive
OR
Albacore/Snapper (tbd), roasted leeks, potato apple hash, grainy mustard butter

The price of the dinner will be $35, but only $17 for children, and Herringbone guarantees a fun-filled Sunday for the entire family.

Cocktial specials will vary weekly, and the Enlightened Hospitality Fabric of Social Dining wines will be $6 by the glass and $22 by the bottle for these special family meals.  Fabric of Social Dining wine choices include Herringbone Chardonnay, Searsucker Red, and Burlap Zinfandel.
