“We have rekindled our passion for wine and cannot wait to share our excitement with San Diego,” says The Wine Lover’s Serge Chablé, a certified sommelier who worked with George Hauer of George’s at The Cove and spent eight years as the wine buyer for Roy Yamaguchi’s Ko Olina and Downtown San Diego outposts. “We want every guest at The Wine Lover to be confident that they have discovered the perfect venue to enjoy their favorite wine or shop for that perfect bottle.”
Among its hand selected collections of wines, The Wine Lover provides an array of services. The bar and bottle shop offers memberships in its Sommelier Wine Club, a concierge wine service that delivers; mix and match grab and go cases; wine consulting to provide assistance in designing wine lists for special occasions; private tasting parties; and event planning expertise in wine selection, food pairings, menu design and more.
The Wine Lover features indoor and outdoor patio settings perfect for date night or tasting with friends. Weekly happenings include daily Happy Hour, BBQ Tuesdays, Blind Taste Thursdays and occasional Meet the Winemaker special events. Up-and-coming musical talent is showcased on every other Sunday afternoon at its popular Sunday Lovin’ music series.
