The Little Italy Association (LIA) invites families to visit San Diego’s Little Italy community for a safe, family-friendly Halloween. A favorite annual event, “Trick-or-Treat on India Street” brings the neighborhood together and allows a chance for kids to trick-or-treat up and down India Street from participating merchants.

Open to the public, the event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The event is free for families and serves as a way for LIA host a traditional Halloween experience in an urban setting.  To participate, families must check-in at the Piazza Basilone, located at the corner of W. Fir and India Streets, to pick up their event map.  There they will be on their way to get Halloween candy from identified storefronts that are part of the event.

“Our annual Trick or Treat on India Street is a real locals event,” said Steven Galasso, President of LIA,  “It's truly a joy to host this for downtown families and see kids’ Halloween costumes when they celebrate Halloween in Little Italy.”

This year, families are encouraged to share their Trick-or-Treat on India Street photos online and through their mobile devices referencing the hashtag #TOTLittleItaly Fans can engage with fellow fans of LIA through social media resources including, Facebook: Little Italy Association of San Diego, Twitter: @LittleItalySD, Pinterest: LittleItalySD and Instagram: LittleItalySD.
