May 20, 2013

An unprecedented roster of Latin culinary celebrities will descend on San Diego September 12-15th for a new type of festival.  ¡LATIN FOOD FEST!, a coast to coast series of Latin culinary festivals, announced that it will kick off its lavish 4-day 14-event international food festival in San Diego.  The Fest has partnered with The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and will generate goodwill and resources for the fight against hunger, and has partnered with The James Beard Foundation to fund a scholarship to support the Foundation’s educational efforts.

"We're excited to share our extraordinary San Diego line-up with our fellow Latin culinary enthusiasts around the globe," said Richie Matthews who serves as President of DIÁLOGO PR, which hosts the Fest. "¡LATIN FOOD FEST! will transform downtown San Diego – from PETCO Park to The San Diego Wine & Culinary Event Center to The Port Pavilion and aboard a stunning 142’ private yacht – to educate palates and entertain over 7,000 patrons, in high style.”

On Saturday September 14th, signature white tents stretching across PETCO Park at the Park will be home to the epitome of all grand tasting craft beer events featuring star-studded demonstrations and Tasting Pavilions, which will showcase offerings from more than 70 restaurants, and wine and beer suppliers. The Grand Tasting Event will also host the 2013 International Baja Craft Beer Awards within the “Baja Beer Garden,” which will be the largest Baja beer event outside of Mexico.
