On Sunday, July 28th, join Community Health Improvement Partners (CHIP) for BREW Rendezvous, a social beer and food fundraiser featuring San Diego’s top brewers, restaurants, and farms, with proceeds supporting CHIP's non-profit efforts to promote a healthy, more sustainable, regional food system. Brew Rendezvous will be a deliciously fun event, pairing 10 breweries, 10 restaurants, and 10 farms together for a beer and local food extravaganza at the Handlery Hotel in Mission Valley.
Featuring some San Diego's best brewers, restaurants, and farms, proceeds from this event benefit CHIP's charitable efforts to tackle obesity through the development of a healthy, sustainable, regional food system. San Diego's top brewers, restaurants, and farms featured include: Stone Brewing Company/Stone World Bistro, Aztec Brewing Company, Coronado Brewing Company, Manzanita Brewing, Green Flash, Urban Solace, Carnitas Snack Shack, The Lodge at Torrey Pines, the Red Door, Alchemy Cultural Fare & Cocktails, Sage Mountain Farm, Stehly Organic Farms, Solutions Farm, Suzie's Farm and many more!
"The San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative, convened by Community Health Improvement Partners, recognizes that all San Diego County residents should have access to healthful foods," explained CHIP Senior Director Cheryl Moder. "Our local food distribution system plays an important role in healthy food access. We support our local farmers, restaurants and craft brewers, who share our dedication to a healthy, sustainable food system in San Diego and are helping to further the movement."
Tickets to the Brew Rendezvous can be purchased online and are $45 for general admission, $60 for VIP, and $20 for designated drivers. The VIP Hour includes special beer and menu tastings and an appearance from “Dr.” Bill Sysak, Stone Brewery’s Craft Beer Ambassador. “Dr.” Bill Sysak will be available during the VIP hour to share beer expertise and answer beer pairing questions. VIP hour runs from noon to 1pm, while GA takes place from 1-4pm on Sunday, July 28th.
