Barons Market and San Diego Coastkeeper Want Facebook Friends to Eat, Drink and Be Merry | Don't Miss Barons Market Taste for Coastkeeper on Oct. 8

September 27, 2013

Being a Facebook fan of San Diego Coastkeeper and Barons Market has its serious advantages. The clean water nonprofit and local grocery store chain invite their Facebook fans to comment to win spots for an exclusive evening of free local microbrews and all-natural food. Barons Market and Coastkeeper will treat five winning commenters and their guests to Delectable: A Barons Market Taste for Coastkeeper on October 8 at 6 p.m.

The invite-only event will encourage participants to play food-critic for the evening, tasting four all-natural Barons Market dishes paired with four Coronado Brewing Company microbrews, including: Coronado Golden Beer with a trio of gourmet cheeses (Edam, Brie, Bacon/Cheddar), Mermaid Red Ale with a trio of salads, Island IPA with spicy shrimp & sausage gumbo, and Blue Bridge Stout with chocolate stout ice cream and biscotti.

Facebook friends of both Coastkeeper and Barons Market need only leave one comment on each cover photo for two chances to win a reserved seat at this special tasting. Commenting ends October 4 and ticket winners will be notified on October 5.

“We all know clean water makes good beer,” says Megan Baehrens, executive director of Coastkeeper. “We want to eat, drink and be merry with our supporters who are a necessity in helping us protect fishable, swimmable and drinkable waters in San Diego.”

Coastkeeper and Barons Market will use feedback from the beer and food pairings to finalize its menu for an upcoming private event to update stakeholders on water quality challenges in San Diego County.

Barons Market is located at 4001 W Point Loma Blvd. in Point Loma.
