Throughout February, The Blind Burro in San Diego's East Village will pit some of the area's best chefs against one another for a taco throwdown tournament unlike any other. Top San Diego & Tijuana chefs will face off every Taco Tuesday in February from 6 - 8PM to compete for the title of BEST TACO. Patrons are invited to try each one and cast a vote for whose taco was best!
Admission to the events are free, but to try the featured tacos, it will be $6 (for both) or $10 with an added beer pairing. Here's the breakdown of the competition. The winner of each week will compete in the grand finale round on February 25.
Feb 4:
Chad White (Plancha Baja Med) vs Hanis Cavin (Carnitas Snack Shack)
Feb 11:
Isabel Cruz (Barrio Star/ Isabel's Cantina Pacific Beach) vs. Rich Sweeney (R Gang Eatery)
Feb 18:
Miguel Angel Guerrero (La Querencia Baja Med/ El Colegio Baja Med / El Taller) vs. Sara Polczynski/Todd Nash (The Blind Burro)
Feb 25: THE GRAND FINALE
