After searching, finding, losing, and searching some more, the ever-popular Carnitas' Snack Shack has finally found a location to open its second outpost.
The North Park, pork-centric eatery, owned and operated by Chef Hanis Cavin and his wife/partner Sara Stroud, has taken over the space previously occupied by The Counter in the eatery-inundated Del Mar Highlands Town Center. Hatch Design Group (Avant, J-FATs, Island Prime) has been retained to transform the new space in Carmel Valley, which is expected to be ready for opening by late summer/early fall. Expect an expanded menu to feature more greens for the health savvy.
