April 10, 2014
Join True North Tavern in North Park on Monday, April 14 for a night of Zaya Rum and Guamanian-inspired fare beginning at 6pm. For $50 a person, enjoy an acoustic performance from Sounds of the Islands and puff on premium cigars while dining on a specially planned four course dinner created just for the night.
From Chalakiles (toasted rice, achiote, pulled chicken and coconut milk), Chicken Kelaguen and Tinala’ Katne (grilled chicken with fresh coconut, lemon, sea salt and smoked cured brisket served with tatiyas, breadfruit chips and spicy coconut vegetable jam) to the Fiesta plate consisting of lemon grass scented BBQ short ribs, banana steamed mahi mahi, red rice, and finadene… these dishes make for the perfect tropical start to the week.
Each of the four courses is perfectly accompanied by rum cocktails made with Zaya 12 year old Estate Rum and three premium cigars throughout the night. Complete the cigar and rum dinner experience on a sweet note with Latiya and Bonelos Mangga - cinnamon custard served with tangerine short cake, mango doughnuts and coconut candy.
