Win Backstage Passes to the 5th Annual San Diego OysterFest | Saturday, June 14
June 7, 2014
The 5th Annual San Diego OysterFest returns to the picturesque Marina Embarcadero North by Seaport Village on Saturday, June 14 for a day filled with the three essentials for a great time - booze, music, and food. This year, the festival includes live bands, beer, wine and liquor, as well as plenty of fresh oysters and food offerings from a variety of San Diego eateries. This 21-and-over event spotlights some up and coming bands and entertainers. We have two backstage passes to the festivities that we'll give to one lucky reader, which (usually) includes snacks and an open bar (while supplies last). Entering is easy - just input your email below, confirm it, and check your inbox on Friday, June 13 when the winner will be contacted.
This year's musical performers slated for San Diego Oysterfest include headliner Matt & Kim, plus BoomBox, He's My Brother She's My Sister, Barbarian, Oliver Trolley, and 22 Kings, with DJ performances by Mike Czech, Demon, Artisitic, Who & Paulo, Mikey Beats.
Presented by SDO Productions, this year’s Oysterfest is sure to be an epic party just like last year. Oysters from British Columbia, along with mollusks from the west coast down to Mexico will be available, as well as offerings from some of San Diego's favorite restaurants. Pacifico and Victoria Beer will be served throughout the event, but there will also be craft beer areas with selections from local craft breweries including Ballast Point, Coronado Brewing, Green Flash and more. If you prefer a cocktail or a wine with your oysters, those will also be served at the event.
"What could be better than fresh succulent oysters, a cold beer and great live music in the most beautiful San Diego waterside setting?!" asked OysterFest producer Myles O'Reilly. "I can't think of anything."
General admission tickets are $27.50 and reserved seat tickets are $65. Food and beverages are not included in the GA ticket. Both ticket options can be purchased online, so get ‘em while they last. This event benefits Advokids, a local non-profit committed to improving and protecting the lives of foster children throughout California.
Doors open at 11am and the festival goes from noon until 7:30pm. For more information, visit oysterfestsd.com and follow on Facebook.

About SanDiegoVille
SanDiegoVille was created in 2010 to report about all the fun & delicious happenings taking place around America's Finest City and we quickly earned a reputation for being a news source for and by those that shun archaic journalistic practices in pursuit of reporting the real story. We are a different kind of news site with no desire to conform to antiquated ideas of how many believe journalism should be. We pound the pavement for our exclusive coverage instead of waiting for permission to break news from the fancy public relations firms that regularly spoon-feed mainstream media sources their story ideas, influencing journalists’ opinions with freebies and fanfare. SanDiegoVille reports fairly on the top entertainment happenings and small businesses doing it right, while not shying away from hard topics and questions you won’t read in local publications where editorial direction is ultimately steered by the sales department. We are a concerted threat to legacy media organizations, and proudly so.
