Napizza is going to make some bellies very happy in 4S Ranch. With an ever-increasing following of customers who crave the restaurant’s pizzas and organic salad bar, co-owners Giulia Colmignoi and Christopher Antinucci are now expanding their fast-casual concept with a second location in North San Diego County. Set to open in this Friday, August 1, Napizza will be welcomed to the 4S Ranch neighborhood, which is known for its family-friendly appeal and nearby corporate business centers.
Colmignoi, who is also known as a “pizzaiola,” brings her Italian heritage and southern California style together to create Napizza’s lifestyle experience. The brand has become a destination in Little Italy known for its taste as much as its nutritional, whole food approach.
“We love what we do and it comes across when you visit us,” said Colmignoi. “We’ve built a strong following in Little Italy and we think the community of 4S Ranch will be really happy when they get to know us too.”
Napizza’s second location will offer a new gelato bar, offering homemade fresh flavors, with seasonal favorites. The gelato should pair nicely with Napizza’s dining experience for kids and kids-at-heart in the neighborhood. For the back-to-school season, the new restaurant will be running an after-school special – the “Yummy Belly Filler” combo of a pizza slice and a scoop for five dollars.
Napizza’s pizza differs from many in San Diego. The flour, yeast and pizza ovens are all imported from Colmignoi and Antinucci’s hometown of Rome, Italy. Napizza’s homemade all-natural dough rises for 72 hours before baking, which results in an ultra-light crispy pizza with more nutrients and less heaviness. This unique flour blend also works beautifully for customers to enjoy at home - they simply order the pizza to go and then warm to perfection at home. In fact, fans of Napizza in Little Italy share rave reviews of the pizza fresh out of the oven, reheated, or simply stored in refrigerator and warmed up the next day.
Master Pizza Chef Matteo Castagna brings tastes previously found only in Italy to Napizza’s menu. Customers can take their pick of pizza combinations like the classic margherita to the truffle porcini or gluten free chefs’ selections of the day. All can be ordered by the slice or as a full or extra large pizza pie, made up by any choice of pizza slice selections. The menu continues to embrace new flavors and ingredients based on what’s popular in Italy, in-season and deliciously healthy for Napizza’s customers.
Napizza’s salads are uniquely crafted with a Mediterranean touch and nutritionist backing, using only fresh, local organic greens. Fresh, organic and seasonal produce is delivered straight from farms like Suzie’s Farm, McGrath Family Farm, Coastal Range Organics, and Jaime Farms. Customers can “build-your-own” salad or pick from menu favorites like the “Superfood me” made with spring mix, kale, quinoa, walnuts, organic avocado, blue lake beans, sprouts and apples, tossed with a basil lemon dressing.
Located west off Camino Del Norte from the 15 freeway at 10550 Craftsman Way, Ste 186, Napizza’s new location will be convenient for residents who live in and near 4S Ranch, Del Sur, Santa Luz, Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain Ranch, as well as for people who work or travel near the 15 corridor. Diners can enjoy dining in with indoor or patio seating or they can take their food to enjoy at home or work.
Napizza offers lunch, dinner or delicious food to-go or for a large group with catering available for parties and corporate meetings. The healthy menu features pizza al taglio, soups, focaccia panini, salads, desserts with imported and domestic drinks including beer and wine. Visit Napizza at their new 4S Ranch location at 10550 Craftsman Way Ste 186, or in Little Italy at 1702 India Street.
