Patio on Lamont & Patio on Goldfinch Host Dueling Tequila Dinners - July 23 & July 24

July 17, 2014

Tequila novices and connoisseurs alike can gather and celebrate National Tequila Day with two of San Diego’s premier neighborhood restaurants - The Patio on Lamont in Pacific Beach and the newly opened The Patio on Goldfinch in Mission Hills. Hosted by Patio general manager and certified catador (tequila expert) Chris Simmons, The Patio welcomes special guest Sergio Mendoza of Don Fulano Tequila for a two-night, five-course tequila pairing dinner, which will take place at 6:30pm on Wednesday, July 23 and Thursday, July 24.

Each dinner will be an educational and delicious celebration of the complementary relationship between tequila and cuisine. Executive Chef John Medall and Chef de Cuisine Adre Fuentes of The Patio Restaurant Group will demonstrate this less familiar food and beverage pairing through a menu incorporating summer melons into several dishes that will be carefully paired with tequila selections.
