Chef Jaison Burke No Longer with The Pearl Hotel | Former San Diego Bay Wine & Food Fest Honoree to Leave San Diego

Chef Jaison Burke announced on his Facebook page that he is leaving his position at The Pearl Hotel in Point Loma. Burke has been The Pearl's executive chef since 2011, but later this month, he'll be starting at Ojai Valley Inn and Resort in Ventura, CA. Burke was an integral part of the launch of The Pearl's taco shop - Tacos Perla in North Park. He was also the People's Choice winner for Chef of the Fest at the 2012 San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival.


"It is with a heavy yet excited heart I have put in my resignation at The Pearl Hotel," explained Chef Jaison Burke on his social media. "I have excepted a position as Chef of a 5 diamond 350 room property in Ventura CA called the Ojai Valley Inn and Resort. My time in SD has been amazing and I could not have asked for a better company to work for while in this amazing city. Thanks to everyone that has made the last three years unforgettable."

We wish chef Burke the best of luck in his future endeavors. We'll be sure to let it be known when The Pearl appoints a new executive chef.
