On Tuesday, September 30, BASIC urban kitchen + bar in downtown’s East Village neighborhood is teaming up with Spike TV’s reality series, Tattoo Nightmares Miami, for a special episode preview and tattoo competition staring one of the show’s famed tattoo artists, Reese Hilburn of the locally owned Lucky’s Tattoo Parlor on Broadway in downtown San Diego. The event welcomes those looking to showcase their own tattoos to compete for the best male tattoo, best female tattoo and the grand prize best overall. Winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to Bar Basic, with the grand prize consisting of a $200 gift certificate to Lucky’s Tattoo Shop to be tattooed by Reese Hilburn herself. Sponsored by Jägermeister, attendees age 21+ can enjoy Jägermeister’s newest flavors, signature cocktails and take home some swag.
Registration for this event opens Tuesday September 30 at 8:30pm. Competition will take place from 9-9:30pm. Final winners will be announced by 10:45 pm. The new episode of Tattoo Nightmares Miami, staring Reese Hilburn, will then air at 11pm. Born and raised in San Diego, Reese was discovered by 495 productions to open up shop temporary in Miami for the series Tattoo Nightmares Miami which premiered on Spike, September 2nd, 2014.
