Slater's 50/50 to Host Events at Both San Diego Locations in Honor of Beer Week | November 11-13

November 6, 2014

Slater's 50/50 is a fixture at nearly all of San Diego's beer festivals and the restaurants are known to have one of the most expansive line ups of San Diego craft beers on tap at all times. So it's no surprise that they're embracing San Diego Beer Week by hosting pairing dinners at both their Liberty Station and San Marcos locations, as well as fundraisers to benefit local pet rescue organizations and beer trivia competitions. We've received the menus and schedule for Slater's line-up of beer week events, keep reading and make your reservations!

Slater's 50/50 will host its SDRW Beer Dinners with Coronado Brewery on Wednesday, November 12 at 7pm at its Liberty Station location (25 spaces available) and another the following day, Thursday, November 13 at 7pm with Mike Hess Brewing at the San Marcos location (45 spaces available). Each dinner costs $40 per person, excluding tax and tip and includes 7 paired courses (full menu below). Reservations can be made by calling the respective location.

In addition to the Beer Dinners, on Tuesday, November 11 at BOTH the Liberty Station and San Marcos locations, Slater's is doing a "Pups and Pints" fundraiser where 20% of proceeds from sales benefit two fantastic local rescue organizations. Guests must either bring in a specific flyer (from the organizations) or mention "Pups n Pints" to have the 20% attributed to the organization, which excludes take out and alcohol, with the exception of the featured breweries - Aztec Brewery for San Marcos (benefiting Wagging Dog Rescue) and Ironfire Brewery and Lagunitas for Liberty Station (benefiting The Barking Lot). Brewers will be on site from the featured breweries. Slater's will also host its 2nd annual Beer Trivia competitions that same evening with prizes and beer specials, starting at 8:30pm at both Liberty Station and San Marcos.

Each of Slater's San Diego locations have more than 100 craft brews on tap and their commitment to local and regional craft beer is as strong as any other establishment in the country. The brand's in-house beermonger, Mark Schultz, is a Certified Cicerone and is constantly rotating the taps at every Slater's 50/50 location and working side by side with brewers to find unique, hard to find brews to feature at the restaurants.
