Dine With Your Dog to Benefit a Good Cause on Woofer Wednesdays at The Wine Pub in Point Loma

January 14, 2015

Wednesdays just became San Diego’s night to dine with the dogs - and for a cause. Point Loma’s dog-friendly wine bar, The Wine Pub, announced The Rescued Dog as the sole beneficiary of its Woofer Wednesday - a weekly special in which ten percent of every person’s check who dines in with a dog benefits the chosen organization.  To inaugurate its 2015 Woofer Wednesday beneficiary, The Wine Pub will release a unique menu featuring three items suitable for both pups and their humans, available to all two and four-legged guests who dine at The Pub on January 21.

The delicious and dog-safe menu, prepared by The Pub’s own Chef Malissa Sorsby, includes parsley and parmesan crustinis, roasted sweet potato fries and mini kale, carrot and egg-white frittatas.

“Who better to drink with than your dog? At The Wine Pub, we encourage this every Wednesday,” says Hanshaw. “The Rescued Dog is a foster-based rescue organization just down the street from The Pub, making them a small business doing good deeds in our community and also a neighbor.”

Since its opening five years ago, The Wine Pub has donated a total of $2,978 to various dog rescue organizations in San Diego. No reservations for January 21 are required - just bring a furry friend and an appetite.

The Wine Pub is located at 2907 Shelter Island Dr. #108. For more information on Woofer Wednesday and The Wine Pub, call (619) 758-9325 and visit thewinepubsd.com.
