The CityBeat Festival of Beers returns outside North Park's Lafayette Hotel on Saturday, April 18 for a day devoted to two of San Diego’s best known exports - music and craft beer. Presented by the San Diego Music Foundation, participants are invited to enjoy tastes of over 100 beers from more than 60 breweries, as well as live music, local vendors and great food. We have 2 VIP tickets to give away so be sure to enter!
San Diego has emerged as one of the most dynamic beer cities in the United States, arguably the world, with an unmatched diversity of style and technique. At the 8th Annual San Diego CityBeat Festival of Beers participants are invited to enjoy local craft beers from breweries such as Alesmith, Ballast Point, Green Flash, Karl Strauss, The Lost Abbey, Modern Times, Stone Brewing, and so many more, not to mention a plethora of other breweries from around the country.
Tickets to the CityBeat Festival of Beers are $40 for General Admission, and $55 for VIP (which offers ticket holders an extra hour of indulging). Prices increase April 1. Both ticket types include unlimited beer samples. Food will be offered at an additional cost from local eateries including Gaglione Brothers, Swieners, The Inslider, and Wahoo's Fish Taco. In addition to brews and bites, enjoy live performances from New Mexico, Grizzly Business and Jesse Lamonaca & The Dime Novels.
Proceeds from the CityBeat Festival of Beers benefit the San Diego Music Foundation which is working to lay the foundation for a new generation of musicians and music lovers through it's Guitars for Schools program. The Guitars for Schools Program has provided over 2,000 guitars to more than 70 schools in San Diego County giving over 45,000 students the opportunity to learn the guitar. In subsequent years the organization has broadened its focus and service areas, providing forums to increase local musicians’ understanding of the music business, garner performance exposure within the local and national music communities, and to publicly recognize the breadth and diversity of the San Diego music scene.
