 On Saturday, April 25, Bikes, Boards and Brews returns to the bayfront lawn outside of Catamaran Resort & Spa for it's 6th year, offering San Diegans a chance to sample some of our city's finest craft beers and tastes from area eateries, while perusing art and products from local vendors and rocking out to area bands, all in an unbelievably gorgeous setting. Celebrate the Pacific Beach culture and all the good things it has to offer as this event brings you back to the endless summer days at Tourmaline Beach with surf boards, beach cruisers and beach-inspired art. As usual, we are hooking our readers up with a chance to win a pair of SOLD-OUT VIP tickets!


Not to brag, but we have been to nearly every beer, wine and food festival that San Diego has to offer, and Bikes, Boards and Brews is definitely one of our favorite events of the year. The outdoor location on Mission Bay at the Catamaran Resort & Spa is intimate and beautiful, the music is lively and invigorating, the food offerings are delicious and the beer is plentiful. This year is certain to be another fun-filled experience. 

Not only is this one of the best damn beer fests that America's Finest City has to offer, it is also one of the most affordable, especially considering it includes both food AND beer! General admission tickets to Bikes, Boards and Brews are $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the event. VIP tickets are completely sold out, but give the holder an extra hour to enjoy their additional beer tickets and food samples. For the price of admission, GA participants will enjoy 10 tasters from San Diego's best craft brewers, food pairings from local Pacific Beach restaurants, live entertainment and more. Before the event, there will also be a free community bike ride led by the San Diego Bicycle Coalition, which will meet on the bayside at Catamaran at 11am!  

This event is presented by Discover PB and Pacific San Diego Magazine, with a portion of proceeds going to the Pacific Beach Business District. Participating breweries include Amplified Ale Works, Green Flash Brewing, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Manzanita Brewing Co., Coronado Brewing Co., Mike Hess Brewing Co., Thorn St. Brewery, Firestone Walker Brewery, Iron Fire Brewery, Fat Cat Beers, Golden Road Brewing and more. Participating restaurants are Sandbar Sports Grill, The Local PB, PB Fish Shop, The Duck Dive, Bare Back Grill, Woodstock's Pizza, Tavern at the Beach, Typhoon Saloon, Tap Room, Backyard Kitchen and Tap, and Bub’s.
