Romesco Mexiterranean Bistro Celebrates 10 Years With Weekend Of Special Events | April 23-26

April 14, 2015

Before Bracero Cocina de Raiz opens in Little Italy, head down to Bonita to celebrate a hallmark occasion for Chef Javier Plascencia and his first popular San Diego restaurant - Romesco Mexiterranean Bistro ! It's been 10 years since Chef Javier crossed the border and brought his famed Baja-Med cuisine to the states. In honor of the milestone, Chef Javier is inviting everyone to enjoy a special weekend of events from Thursday, April 23 to Sunday, April 26, including a beer pairing dinner, an evening of iconic Plascencia dishes, a sneak-peak at what's to come at Bracero and finishing with a day for the whole family.

In April of 2005, Romesco Mexiterranean Bistro opened in a quaint Bonita shopping center and has been treating patrons to culinary delights ever since. To celebrate the restaurant’s anniversary, Romesco is planning a weekend full of events showcasing what guests have come to love about the restaurant and honoring the Plascencia Group’s beginnings and future.

Come dine, drink and be merry on this special weekend, where you can not only experience Romesco's fabulous flavors but get a sneak peak into Chef Javier Plascencia's plans for his highly anticipated Little Italy restaurant opening in May, Bracero Cocina de Raiz.

Start the celebrations early on Thursday, April 23 with Beer and Baja cuisine. For $20 per person, enjoy a beer tasting in the Tapas Bar with beer flights and live music courtesy of DJ Luis Santamaria. For $50 per person, sit down in the dining room for a beer pairing dinner starting at 5pm.
