The Red Door Restaurant & Wine Bar To Host 4th Farmers, Friends & Fishermen Dinner

July 22, 2015

The Red Door Restaurant & Wine Bar will host its fourth Farmers, Friends and Fishermen dinner on Wednesday, August 5, starting at 5:30pm. Farmers, Fishmongers and Friends is an intimate dinner series designed to educate the community about who is producing their local food. It’s a meet ‘n eat, of sorts, featuring a cocktail reception/mixer and five-course dinner with farm-fresh drink pairings.

Each dish, prepared by The Red Door’s executive chef Karrie Hills, is informed by what’s in season and what can be sourced locally either from the restaurant’s own garden or from nearby farmer friends and fishermen.

This particular dinner features Phil Noble of Sage Mountain Farm, Tim and LaVonna Connelly of Connelly Gardens, Colin and Karen Archipley from Archi’s Acres and Tommy Gomes from Catalina Offshore Products. This meal will also feature beer pairings from URBN St. Brewing and brewer Alex Carballo will be there to chat about what makes their beer so great. Wine pairings are also available. Tickets are $80 per person and can be purchased online at farmersfriendsfisherman4.brownpapertickets.com.

The Red Door Restaurant & Wine Bar is located at 741 Washington Street in Mission Hills. For more information, visit thereddoorsd.com and check out the Facebook event page
