CityBeat 5 Minute Film Festival Showcases Local Movie Makers On September 3

August 18, 2015

In the era of short attention spans, San Diego CityBeat has the perfect event! On Thursday, September 3, the 3rd annual San Diego CityBeat 5 Minute Film Festival will take over the beautiful Joan & Irwin Jacobs Theater inside the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park for a showcase of locally produced short films.

Over 100 San Diego County filmmakers submitted independent films that are not longer than 5 minutes for consideration this year. Members of the staff of San Diego CityBeat chose their favorite films, and those selected films will be screened at the festival. Doors will open at 7pm with a short reception of filmmakers and guests, followed by the screening of 27 festival films. Light hors d'oerves will be served at the reception and adult beverages will be available at a no-host bar.

The 3rd annual San Diego CityBeat 5 Minute Film Festival is sponsored by UCSD Extension and Peroni Beer. Tickets for the 5 Minute Film Festival are on sale now at sdcitybeat.com. Advance tickets are $15 and will be $20 at the door on the day of the event.
