Pacific Beach's Iron Pig Alehouse will celebrate their first anniversary with an inaugural Whole Pig Spit Roast on Sunday, October 25, beginning at 11am and going until the pig is gone. A barbecue smokehouse and craft beer mecca all in one, IPA is inviting ticket holders to come ready to eat and drink, as unlimited beer, mimosas, pulled pork, sides and fries are on the menu with football on the televisions.
Owners Brigette O'Donovan, Louise Kelly, and Kenny Casciato are pulling out all the stops and inviting their brewery friends to bring kegs of their finest beers to join the celebration. Already on board for the party are Karl Strauss, Coronado Brewing, Belching Beaver, Ironfire, Firestone Walker, Figueroa Mountain and even a special Oktoberfest keg from Germany's Brauerei Ayinger.
"I'm very pleased with how the community has embraced our restaurant during our first year in business," explained owner Brigitte O'Donovan. "We didn't know what to expect, but our first year has far exceeded our expectations and we have built a solid foundation with a loyal customer following that will help our business continue to grow."
Iron Pig Alehouse has made quite the name for itself over its first year in business as a favorite destination for authentic, slow cooked, smoked barbecue, complemented by an extensive craft beer program. If you have not yet been to the restaurant, what are you waiting for? The wings and brisket alone are worth a visit!
"We can't believe it has already been a year," exclaimed owner Kenny Casciato. "We have enjoyed every minute of it. We are honored to be a part of the food scene that is growing in Pacific Beach."
