Local Habit Closes In Hillcrest

October 6, 2015

San Diego's Cali-Creole concept Local Habit has closed in Hillcrest after over 4 years in business, making the announcement on the company's Facebook Page: "To our loyal guests & friends, we are terribly sad to tell everyone that our doors have been shut permanently. Thank you for supporting us for all of these years! Lassiez les Bon temps rouler! Good luck and God bless to all!"

Local Habit went through a renovation earlier this year after Nick Brune sold the restaurant to brothers Ignacio, Javier, Guillermo and Antonio Fragoso. The brothers called upon Louisiana-born Brune, who also owns top sustainable catering company Eco Caters and was formerly Jennifer Lopez’s private chef, to shape the new Creole menu and return as a consultant. Brune also operates a pop-up supper series SoundBite that combines local chefs and live music.
