Mac 'n cheese has to be one of the most widely loved dishes in America, and on Saturday, November 7, it will receive the tribute it rightfully deserves when the first annual San Diego Mac n’ Cheese Festival takes over Waterfront Park in downtown San Diego. Over a dozen restaurants will battle it out to see who can make the best gourmet macaroni and cheese on a day devoted to one of America's top comfort foods. We are raffling off two tickets to this delicious event, so read on and be sure to enter.
Participating restaurants include The Flying Pig, Nate’s Garden Grill, Stacked Burgers By Design, Stella Public House, Quad Ale House, Bistro Sixty, Company Pub & Kitchen, Epoch Kitchen & Bar, Devil Dogs BBQ, San Diego Tap Room, and the Riveria Supper Club. There will also be craft beer and wine tastings to compliment the gourmet Mac n’ Cheese sampling, as well as lots of live entertainment and the first annual “Mac n’ Cheese Eating Contest.” The winner will win gift certificates to some of San Diego finest restaurants.
Tickets to the Mac 'N Cheese Festival are $35, include all tastings, and can be purchased online. Proceeds from the festival will benefit The World Wide Network of Learning, a non-profit organization located in Carlsbad, created for the purpose of enhancing career and education opportunities for students worldwide.
