Good Time Design, a hospitality group with concepts that include Bub's At The Ballpark, The Blind Burro, Cat Eye Club and more, has ventured out of its hub in San Diego's East Village and moved into the former Fred's Mexican Cafe spot to open Cerveza Jack's, with Moonshine Beach currently under construction to debut this spring where Typhoon Saloon once was.
Neighboring Moonshine Beach is the sister concept to East Village’s Moonshine Flats, and just how Moonshine Flats and The Deck are two concepts in one, Moonshine Beach will be a 2-in-1 with Cerveza Jack’s as the restaurant portion. A $4 million renovation started this past November to transform the 20,000 square foot venue that will eventually accommodate 1,500 people and feature an entertainment venue (with a larger stage than Moonshine Flats has) and restaurant. Moonshine Beach is scheduled to open in March 2016
Moonshine Beach will be the only major entertainment venue in Pacific Beach and will feature live music 4-nights per week during winter months and 4+ nights per week during summer months. Weekend entertainment aims to include today’s best, young and high-energy country acts (both regional and national touring), special concert events, and additonal national and regional touring acts. Weeknights, Moonshine Beach will present reggae and indie rock acts. Moonshine Beach will have a southern Gulf Coast hospitality feel to it, whereas Moonshine Flats has a southern-influenced Texas roadhouse feel.
