Talk about keeping it simple with a restaurant name! Arizona based concept - Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers - will be taking over the prime Gaslamp space recently left dormant by longtime tenant Acqua Al 2 to open the 6th location of the popular eatery. With a menu that boasts use of only fresh ingredients with all items made in house daily, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is eager to introduce San Diego to their award winning burgers, mac-n-cheese, sandwiches and more.
Owned and operated by Square One Concepts (which also owns local Pacific Beach Shore Club and Bootlegger), Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers has made a name for itself with its burgers - all hand formed from fresh, never frozen, ground chuck, to create a tasty selection of mouthwatering half pound burgers. Add to that 5 types of mac-n-cheese and classic sandwiches, such as the slow roasted prime dip, club and a staff favorite, the buffalo chicken featuring house made buffalo sauce. CB&C also features hand crafted salads, char broiled hot dogs and a selection of appetizers such as grilled drummettes, sliders, hell fire chips and much more.
It's not all about the burgers and food over at CB&C. The ever-rotating beer menu will consist of over 150 beer choices on draught, bottled or canned. The restaurant also offers a Beer of the Month which is usually a seasonal beer priced at only $4 pints/$5 mug all month long. Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers will offer happy hour Monday through Friday from 3-6pm, with specials such as $3 domestics, $4 crafts, $5 select appetizers and $7.50 All-American Burger accompanied with house made chips.
Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers plans to open as early as Memorial Day Weekend 2016 at 322 5th Avenue in San Diego's Gaslamp. For more information, visit coldbeers.com.

The eatery also features he a popular ”Burger Challenge” for all the adventure carnivores out there. It starts with 3 half pound patties and goes up from there. The sky is the limit but the most impressive finisher so far was a 9-patty monster that weighed in over 5 pounds. Finish in the posted time and the burger is on the house. For those that don't finish, their photo will be plastered up on the restaurant's website.
