Oscar's Mexican Seafood Chooses East Village For Fourth Location

March 7, 2016

Oscar's Mexican Seafood has taken over the space formerly occupied by Toast Enoteca & Cucina adjacent to Petco Park for its 4th San Diego location, which could open as early as this weekend. Oscar's was recently named on Yelp's list of Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. in 2016.

Known for its menu of seafood tacos, ceviches and tortas, Oscar's has been a San Diego taco destination since the original opened on Turquoise Street in North Pacific Beach in 2011. Owned by Juan Bernardo Montes de Oca, the casual eatery has since expanded to open a second Pacific Beach location and an outpost in Hillcrest. The restaurant opened an Ocean Beach branch at 5060 Newport Avenue for a short time before the eatery transformed into Mike's Taco Club, which to this day offers a very similar menu and style as Oscar's. Oscar's will soon be featured on an upcoming episode of Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations.
