La Mesa Joins Farm-to-Table Sensation | Farmer's Table Set to Launch In 2017

August 7, 2016

With all of the exciting places to dine in San Diego, it’s about time East County gets another notch on its culinary belt. From the owner of Mission Hills' Farmers Bottega, Farmer’s Table will bring fresh and local flavors to La Mesa, set to open at the former Sanfilippo's Pizza space in early 2017.

Celebrating the farm-to-table concept, Farmer’s Table will prove that food doesn’t need to be complicated to be good, and the owners will strive to let the natural flavors speak for themselves.

"'Honest food done right' pretty much sums up our mission," says co-owner Alberto Morreale.

Morreale and Vincenzo Lo Verso are hosting this new endeavor, which is expected to be a go-to destination in La Mesa. A dominant figure in San Diego’s vibrant restaurant scene, Alberto co-owns the highly successful Hillcrest and Liberty Station Fig Tree Café locations and is the owner of Farmers Bottega in Mission Hills.

Farmer's Table Executive Chef Vincenzo holds an extensive pedigree, having opened Hillcrest’s Fresh Catch Fish Market & Grill and serving as the owner of San Diego Dining Group, which operates Greystone The Steakhouse, Osetra The Fishhouse, and Osteria Panevino.

Farmer’s Table will occupy the former space that housed Sanfilippo’s Pizza on La Mesa Boulevard for the past 40 years. Set to open in early 2017, locals and those who are simply passing through will find Farmers’ Table a perfect complement to La Mesa’s evolving culinary culture.

Farmer's Table will be located at 8141 La Mesa Boulevard. For more information, visit farmerstablelamesa.com.
