ViVa Bar Owner To Revamp Concept Once Again | All American Burgers Is Coming Soon To Downtown San Diego

September 4, 2016

You know what they say - third time's the charm! First it was Red Light District. Then it was ViVa Bar + Kitchen. Now, owner Sean Shoja will once again revamp and overhaul the concept at his restaurant space at 409 F Street in downtown San Diego to open All American Burgers this week.

All American Burgers will center around a menu of grass-fed burgers and craft beer, but will also offer salads, sides and a weekend brunch menu. Chef Tom Miller, who most recently was the Executive Chef of The Brew Project in Hillcrest and Ballast Point Little Italy before that, will lead the kitchen.

All American Burgers is owned by ASAN Restaurant Concepts, which was founded by Sean Shoja. Born in Tehran, Iran and raised in Montreal, Canada, Shoja got his start in the restaurant industry working in a bagel factory. Sean opened his first bakery in Miami at the age of twenty-three and eventually made his way to San Diego where he opened Woody’s Bagel Factory in La Jolla before selling the business 3 years later.

In 2005, Sean bought Café Lulu on F Street, which claims to be the oldest coffee shop in downtown San Diego, and in 2007, purchased a coffee shop and renovated it to reopen as Toscana Café & Wine Bar. In 2012, Sean expanded his vision to the corner of 4th Avenue & F Street with the opening of French-Asian restaurant Red Light District, which he changed to Latin-inspired tapas concept, ViVA Bar + Kitchen in 2013.

All American Burgers is anticipated to swing open this Fall. For more information, visit allamericanburgers.beer and check out the menus below.
