Grater Grilled Cheese To Open 3rd Outpost | Coming Soon To Del Mar Highlands Town Center

October 26, 2016

What began with a food truck and a dream has become three brick-and-mortar eateries dotted around San Diego county with more on the way! Adding to their fast-casual restaurants in La Jolla and Mission Valley, Grater Grilled Cheese will soon open its 3rd outpost within the Del Mar Highlands Town Center, anticipated to open in early 2017.

Headed by chef Gaston Corbalá and his wife Natalie Garin, Grater is a family-run business that started as GreenGo Food Truck in 2011, specializing in gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and their popular lobster fries. With current locations at 723 Pearl Street in La Jolla and 5618 Mission Center Road in Mission Valley, as well as their roaming food truck, Grater is nearly ready to open their newest location in Del Mar, with plans to extend their concept throughout California.

Grater's grilled cheese sandwiches are constructed with a grated five-cheese blend and various ingredients held between fresh baked bread. Their best seller is the Puerto-Nuevo lobster grilled cheese with fried Pacific lobster, snow crab, and ale-chipotle aioli. Like the other locations, in addition to an array of upscale toasted fromage sandwiches, the new eatery will offer a full menu including deli sandwiches, salads, fries, soups and more.

Grater Grilled Cheese Del Mar will be located between Village Mill Bread Company and ITan Sun Spray Spa in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center at 1295 El Camino Real and should be open in the beginning of 2017. For more information, visit gratergrilledcheese.com and check out the menu below.
