Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa To Host Holiday Lunar Feast With Prime Views Of The San Diego Bay Parade Of Lights On December 11

November 24, 2016

Just in time for the holiday season, the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa will bring back it's dazzling, one-of-a-kind monthly supper on their private pier for one of San Diego’s most time-honored holiday traditions, the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights. This special Holiday Edition of the Lunar Feast dinner series will take place on Sunday, December 11, from 6-9pm and provides the best seat in the city to view the parade, not to mention a multi-course, Mexican-inspired meal.

At the December installment of the Lunar Feast, diners will indulge in a multi-course, Baja-Med dinner for a Mexican Posadas - a traditional Mexican holiday festival celebrating the Advent Calendar, while lavishly decorated boats float along the bay. The dinner will also feature wines from Adobe Guadalupe and beer from Mike Hess Brewing Company. For dessert, there will be authentic Mexican hot chocolate.

The night will begin with a reception hour with quesadillas, sweet potato flautas, and mole negro. Next, guests will have a seat on the property's private pier and indulge in chiles en nogada for the first course. Then, pork belly & octopus posole, rib eye carne asada, roasted winter vegetables, and tamal con rajas will be presented for the second course. Lastly, diners will finish off the night with Oaxacan hot chocolate and churro donuts. Tickets are priced at $70 per person and reservations can be made at OpenTable.com.
