Liberty Public Market's Mess Hall To Close On December 6 For Renovation To Add New Concepts

December 3, 2016

Liberty Public Market's onsite restaurant Mess Hall will close on December 6 in order to split up the space to three new concepts - a smaller reincarnation of the former eatery, a pizza counter, and a wine bar. The space is anticipated to reopen on December 19.

With the goal making Liberty Public Market's only onsite restaurant more cohesive with the rest of the space, Blue Bridge Hospitality and Executive Chef Tim Kolanko will transform the former Mess Hall space into three distinct concepts - Mess Hall Bar, Pi Bar, and Grape Smuggler. Mess Hall Bar will be a cocktail bar with seasonally inspired small plates, many from the former Mess Hall menu. Pi Bar will be a counter service pizza bar where rectangular pizza will be sold by the slice or pie, as well as savory pot pies and sweet pies from pastry chef Lori Sauer. Grape Smuggler will be a wine bar and store, which was recently located in the southwest end of the market. There will also be an added craft spirits section. A menu of small plates will be offered to pair with various wines.

Mess Hall Bar, Pi Bar & Grape Smuggler should reopen on Monday, December 19. For more information, visit libertypublicmarket.com.
