Despite debuting only this past summer and receiving positive online reviews, Great Wow has shuttered at 3860 Convoy Street in San Diego's Convoy District.
Great Wow took over the space previously occupied by Goldfish World and soft opened mid-August 2016 with a menu centered around Northern Chinese-style dumplings and noodles. Known for its jiaozi, boiled stuffed dumplings that were made to order, Great Wow was touted by many San Diego foodie faithful. There is no word yet on who will move into the space.
Rumors are swirling that Great Wow is teaming up with China-based Trinitea for a combined eatery to be located at Trinitea's old space at 3865 5th Avenue in Hillcrest, aptly named Trinitea & Wow, but we have yet to confirm. We reached out to the owners for comment but have not heard back.
