Coronado Brewing Doubles Down In Imperial Beach

March 1, 2017

Coronado Brewing is opening a massive brewery, tasting room and full-service restaurant in the new Bikeway Village project heading to Imperial Beach, which will be the second outpost for the San Diego craft brewer in the up-and-coming South Bay town.

Coronado Brewing opened a tasting room and eatery at 875 Seacoast Drive in Imperial Beach in 2015. The company must believe in the southern San Diego beach town, as it is doubling down and will open within one-half of the 30,000 square foot Bikeway Village project at 535 Florence Street, anticipated to debut in late-2018. The other half of the project will be occupied by Trident Coffee, a bike store and other retail establishments.

The new Coronado Brewing Company location will include a 10-barrel brewery, a 7,000 square-foot, full-service restaurant with a large outdoor area, and a possible distillery component. While construction is underway, the company intends to open a satellite tasting room with a mobile beer trailer and up to 20 taps, as well as food trucks and outdoor seating, expected to open this summer.
