Point Loma's Kristy's MVP Sports Bar has been a Midway District neighborhood staple for more than a decade, but the restaurant will shutter after close of business on Sunday, April 2.
Known for its 30 HDTVs devoted to all-things sports and a menu centered around made-to-order brick oven pizzas, Kristy's was opened in August 2003 by CBS Sports Tech Manager Dean Walker and his wife Kristy, who are closing the bar in order to reportedly retire. The bar and restaurant is hosting a farewell party this Saturday, April 1, starting at 10am and will close for good on Sunday evening at 10pm, so those looking for one last visit should get in there fast. Be informed, the business is operating as cash only for the rest of its tenure.
There is no world on who will take over the 5,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor space at 3225 Midway Drive, but we'll be sure to post when we know more.
