HI Poke Moving Into Former-Venissimo Cheese Spot In The Headquarters At Seaport Village

April 12, 2017

Venissimo Cheese quietly closed its location within The Headquarters at Seaport Village last month, but the unit already has a new tenant. HI Poke is preparing the space to launch a poke shop inside the waterside dining and retail destination.

The prime space within San Diego's The Headquarters has been occupied by Venissimo since its grand unveiling in fall 2013, but fans of the retail cheese shop can  still satisfy cravings at one of Venissimo's four other locations around San Diego.

Currently being revamped by former sushi chef Scotty Brennan for the opening of his first fast-casual eatery - HI Poke, a Pacific-style seafood bar, the eatery will be operated by walk up counter service with indoor and outdoor seating and a menu of seafood poke served to order as a salad or rice bowl. There will also be poke tacos made from jicama made tortillas like those served at The Blind Burro. HI Poke is anticipated to open in May.
