Iconic Mister A's Restaurant Appoints Sean McCart As Chef De Cuisine

San Diego's iconic Mister A’s restaurant has announced that Sean McCart has been appointed to the position of Chef de Cuisine of the fine dining institution.

Mister A's owner Bertrand Hug and Executive Chef Stephane Voitzwinkler have recently hired Sean McCart to serve as Chef de Cuisine as they enter another season of sky-high fine dining. A San Diego County native, McCart developed a childhood appreciation for the abundance of farm fresh produce and sustainably-sourced meats available in Southern California which he has carried with him throughout his career. Prior to joining Mister A's, McCart last worked as the Executive Chef of Pueblo in Pacific Beach, and before that was the Chef de Cuisine at The Patio on Goldfinch for a brief stint after leaving his position as sous chef at Richard Blais' Juniper & Ivy in Little Italy.

"Growing up, I always enjoyed watching my mom host guests at our home in Julian - the joy she found in cooking for people was something I related to early on, and it was this interest in entertaining and creating memories through food that eventually drew me to the restaurant industry," said Chef McCart. "I get most of my inspiration from those that I cook for, rather than those who came before me."
