MAKE Pizza + Salad Debuts In Downtown San Diego

February 9, 2018

Now open in downtown San Diego is MAKE pizza+salad, a new down-the-line, create-your-own pizza and salad concept.

Owned by husband-and-wife team Terry & Zorka McCleary, who previously owned a successful smoothie and fresh squeeze juice franchise in Los Angeles County, MAKE pizza + salad offers a menu centered around scratch-made individual size 10" pizzas and entrée portion salads, where customers move down a service line and choose from dozens of toppings that are available at a fixed price while their meal is customized and assembled before them. The eatery also offers an array of appetizers, small bites and desserts, as well as fountain and bottled soda, 8 handles of draft beer, and wine by the glass.

MAKE sits within the 1,600 square foot corner unit within the new residential building at 699 Park Boulevard and offers a modern feel with a yellow and gray brick-lined pizza oven that is the focal point of the restaurant. The space also boasts floor to ceiling panorama views of the East Village and fun trolley murals in the restroom since the restaurant location is right along downtown's trolley line. There is also an interactive magnetic wall for children and adults where you can create sentences that use the word "make". The eatery also has a 500 square-foot outdoor sidewalk café where customers can enjoy their meals with beer or wine.

MAKE pizza + salad is open daily from 10:30am-9pm. For more information, visit makesandiego.com and check out some photos below.
