Ike's Sandwiches Heading Into Former Firehouse Subs Space In San Diego's Midway District Of Point Loma

April 17, 2018

Moving into the space that last housed Firehouse Subs in San Diego's Midway District of Point Loma will be the third area location of Ike's Place, the popular San Francisco-based eatery known for its expansive menu of super-stuffed sandwiches made on house-baked bread.

Ike's Place is the creation of Ike Shehadeh, who first launched his namesake sandwich shop in San Francisco in 2007 and now has more than 35 locations around California and Arizona. Ike's Place offers a huge menu of cheeky-named sandwiches on freshly baked bread, as well as a rumored list of over 400 "secret" sandwich possibilities. Widely known for its famed "Dirty Secret Sauce" and Dutch Crunch bread, Ike's first entered San Diego in Fall 2015 with the opening of its 1,100 square-foot fast-casual eatery within The Hub retail shopping center in Hillcrest.

We announced earlier this year that the second San Diego location of Ike's Place will soon install within the nearly 3,000 square foot space at 542 5th Avenue in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp. The third San Diego location will be constructed at 3625 Midway Drive, Suite 20A, in the complex that houses Von's.
